Associate Membership
An associate is someone who wishes to deepen her/his experience of God and is attracted by the Benedictine spirituality of community, prayer and ministry with a focus on spreading peace.
Association begins informally by discussing and praying about various aspects of the Rule of St. Benedict and by sharing the history of the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh. This could lead to a more formalized arrangement where each Associate determines her/his own manner of being associated with the community in consultation with the Director of Associates. The Associates meet on the 1st Sunday of every month.
Resident Associates
Resident Associates wish to deepen their faith life by
participation in the charism and spirituality of St. Benedict while living in
community with the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh. A period of
preparation is required before one becomes an Oblate or
Associate.
