In addition to electing a new prioress
the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh
have established the following direction statements for the next 6 years:
The rule of St. Benedict is multi-faceted. Foremost is the spirituality it engenders among us. In the next 6 years we will live and witness our Benedictine community life and spirituality by stewarding our community in:
1. the exercise of LEADERSHIP on a personal and corporate level
2. the promotion of new MEMBERSHIP and ongoing personal development and monastic formation of all community members
3. designing LIVING ARRANGEMENTS in accord with our values and environmental concerns
4. participating in MINISTRIES (internal and external) that promote our values, especially advancing peace and justice in our world
