Vocation Discernment

Listen, O Daughter, and incline
                            the ear of your heart
       Peace is our calling.
                             Is it yours?

Through baptism, every person has a vocation, a call to holiness, a call to become a living response to God's love. Call is common to everyone, yet responding to God's love is meant to be unique and particular for each person. Knowing who you are and being honest about your  dreams and capabilities are the first steps in discovering how you are called to live out your own vocation to love and serve God and others.

  • Is God calling you to religious life?
  • Is God calling you to monastic life with the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh?

Vocation discernment is a process of prayer and dialogue to help you answer important life questions.

If you wish to learn more about discerning a Benedictine monastic vocation, contact Sister Karen R. Brink, OSB at 412-913-0531 or listening@osbpgh.org.

Ask about the Monastic Sampler which is a prayer experience for those interested in knowing more about Benedictine monastic life.
