"For me, living Benedictine Values in my daily life means trying to recognize the Presence of Christ in myself and those around me. Preferring nothing whatever to His love and sharing this peaceful joy with others, knowing that I have a spiritual connection with the Sisters and with the Oblates of my community. Together we stand firmly with the Light of Christ burning in our hearts."
-Barbara Weidenhof
Oblate Co-director
The mission of our Oblate program is to
create opportunities to grow in the Spirit of
Saints Benedict and Scholastica as seekers of the Living God.
We, members of the Benedictine Oblate Community of Saint Benedict Monastery, bear witness to the peace that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the rule of our Holy Father St. Benedict have brought into our lives.
We embrace in our lives the values expressed in the Holy Rule of St. Benedict, according to our station in life: stability of heart, fidelity to the spirit of the monastic way of life and obedience to the will of God. These open us in love to the social values of hospitality, service to others and responsible stewardship.
Each meeting begins with Morning Praise and Eucharist at 9:00 am
followed by brunch and meeting. Zoom attendance is available.
